Bookkeeping and reconciliation
Your books current in Xero or QuickBooks, so you always know where you stand.
- Bank and credit card reconciliation
- Bills paid and suppliers managed
- Invoices processed and followed up
- Xero set up properly from the start
Your books, handled. So you can get on with the work you'd rather be doing.
I’m Jasmine Middleton, a registered BAS agent looking after small businesses across Melbourne. Bookkeeping, BAS and payroll, taken care of properly, so they stop taking up space in your head.

Get your evenings back
The books stop being a Sunday night job.
Know where you actually stand
Not just that the numbers exist. What they are telling you.
Stop wondering whether it's right
Prepared and lodged on time by a registered BAS agent.
Most clients hand me the lot and get on with their day.
Your books current in Xero or QuickBooks, so you always know where you stand.
Prepared and lodged by a registered BAS agent, on time, every quarter.
Every run correct, without you having to check it.
Software I work in every week

Your business gets treated like my own.
When you have a good month, that is a win for me too. I am not just recording what happened, I am paying attention to it.
If something looks worth a look, you will hear about it.
Still paying for a subscription you stopped using in March? You will know. That is the part most people do not get from a bookkeeper, and it is the part that puts money back.
Better systems mean a smaller bill.
One client started at two hours a week. Once the processes were set up properly it came down to half an hour. Same job, less of your money.
You get a person, not a portal.
No ticket numbers, no account manager. Send me a message and we will sort it out.
Most of my clients are small businesses around Melbourne. Trades, service businesses, local operators with a handful of staff on the books.
Different industries, same thing needed: accounts that are current, payroll that is right, and BAS that is lodged on time. Whatever you run, not much surprises me.
Some of the businesses I look after

Before bookkeeping I spent twenty years in travel, where looking after people was the whole job. That is the part I brought with me.
So you get more than a set of reconciled accounts. I learn how your business runs and where you want to take it. When something is worth your attention you will hear from me, and when it is not, I have already handled it.
I started Count On Me Bookkeeping in 2021, the same year I completed my Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping and registered as a BAS agent. I work on my own, out of Spotswood. The person you talk to is the person doing the work.
Jasmine’s been doing my bookkeeping every month for over a year now and honestly it’s been a huge relief. Before her, the thought of looking at the books used to make me anxious. Now I don’t even need to worry about it. She’s incredibly responsive and genuinely seems to care about her clients.
Jas is our absolute ‘Xero hero’. She moved our business from a spreadsheet on to Xero and then trained us so we could manage the basic bookkeeping ourselves. Whenever we get stuck or unsure she is super responsive and expert at getting us back on track. I love that she provides ongoing support at the level we need it, including the quarterly BAS preparation.
As a busy business owner, having a bookkeeper I can trust is invaluable. Jasmine consistently goes above and beyond, keeping our accounts organised, ensuring deadlines are met, and providing support whenever we need it. What I value most is that Jasmine feels like an extension of our team. She takes the time to understand our business, communicates clearly, and always acts with professionalism and care.
Jasmine constantly goes above and beyond. Her attention to detail, clear explanations and genuine care make such a difference. She takes the time to ensure everything is not only done correctly, but that I understand it too. Having someone I can trust completely with such an important part of my business is invaluable.
Jasmine is brilliant. As a sole business owner, it can be quite daunting when trying to manage and keep up with my books, on top of everything else. Jasmine has made the bookkeeping process effortless. Her knowledge and application have been faultless. Jasmine is always available to answer my many questions, her work is precise, she's friendly, kind and a joy to deal with. I wouldn't think of using anyone else.
Jasmine has been fantastic to work with. She’s easy to communicate with, approachable and reliable, and has helped streamline the bookkeeping side of my business significantly. Having her support has made managing the financial side of running a small business much simpler and less time-consuming. I would happily recommend Jasmine to other small business owners.

Tell me what your business does and what you would like off your plate. No charge, no obligation. If someone else is a better fit, I will point you their way.
I take a look
I go through what you have in Xero or QuickBooks, or get you set up if you are starting fresh. You will know exactly where things stand.
We agree what I handle
Some clients want everything, bank access included. Others just want BAS off their plate. Both work.
I get on with it
You send me what I ask for, and mostly you stop thinking about it. I come to you when something needs you, or when something is worth knowing.
Everything is done remotely, so where you are matters less than it used to. Most of my clients are in Melbourne’s west, but plenty are further afield, and I still like working with businesses I could drive to.
We can meet however suits you. A phone call, a video call, or I come to you. Most clients find a quick call does the job.
That one is your accountant’s job. I am a registered BAS agent, which covers your bookkeeping, GST, payroll and BAS. The two roles work well together: I keep everything clean through the year so your accountant has a tidy set of books to work from at the end of it. If you do not have an accountant yet, I work alongside a few good ones and can point you in the right direction.
I keep things current all year. Your accountant handles tax at the end of it. When the books arrive in good shape, there is less for them to untangle, which usually costs you less. Two halves of the same job.
Only if you would like me paying bills for you, and plenty of clients do. It is view-only unless you specifically set up payment permissions, and it is entirely your call. Keeping that side yourself works perfectly well too.
No. Xero is where I do most of my work and what I would suggest if you are starting fresh, but I also look after clients on QuickBooks. If you are already set up, we work with what you have. If not, I will set you up in Xero and bring your history across. It is smoother than most people expect.
Plenty of people come to me exactly that way, and it is very fixable. We will work out what needs doing and in what order, get you current, and keep you there.
A little at the start while I learn your business, then less and less. One client went from two hours a week to half an hour once the systems were in place.
It depends on the size of your business and how much you would like me handling. Have a chat with me and you will get a real number rather than a guess.
The first conversation is free and there is no obligation at the end of it. Tell me what your business does and what is currently taking up your time, and I will tell you whether I can help.
I take on a small number of clients so everyone gets proper attention. If you are after a bookkeeper you can actually talk to, get in touch and we will see if we are a fit.
